Celerra NS480 with two datamovers, mirrorview active/active configuration

Hi!

In my company, we are installing and configuring two Celerra NS480, with two datamovers each, and I have some doubts about the possibles configurations with mirrorview for disaster recovery.

I am reading documentation about this, "Using MirrorView Synchronous with Celerra for Disaster Recovery", but there are some concepts that are not clear for me. The documents only tells possible configurations with four datamovers in each Celerra.

There is possible to make an active/active configuration with only two datamovers in each Celerra? Or I may need four?

In case that it's possible, how can I configure it? For example:

Celerra_1-server_2            <-------------------------------------->   Celerra_2-server_2

Celerra_1-server_3(stby)    <-------------------------------------->   Celerra_2-server_3(stby)

Is this correct? Or can I only use an active/passive configuration?

Thank you for your responses.

Guillermo.

Yes, you could do active / active if you configure without local standby data movers

That would mean no automatic local failover on hardware problems and less flexitbility on upgrades

Please consult with your local EMC technical team doing the install and config
