Celerra nslookup errors
Hello,
When i run this commands i am getting the below errors. I have no clue why it is not able to resolve the DNS IP address. the DNS server is up and running... what other issues may cause this errors
[nasadmin@mpannsgw1 ~]$ nslookup
> mpannsgw1
Server: 192.168.99.5
Address: 192.168.99.5#53
** server can't find mpannsgw1: SERVFAIL
> 192.168.14.73
Server: 192.168.99.5
Address: 192.168.99.5#53
** server can't find 73.14.168.192.in-addr.arpa: NXDOMAIN

Yup i can see the 2 IP's in the resol.conf file and as you here all this is related to this error
[nasadmin@mpbwnsg1 ~]$ date;nas_cel -e id=3 "nas_fs -l";date

Error 2241: Remote command failed:
remote celerra = mpannsgw1
remote exit status = 0
remote error = 4446
remote message = CURL Error code: 35, Error message: error:14077438:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:tlsv1 alert internal error

Any idea on this?

Do you see your dns servers in /etc/resolv.conf ?

Let me know if this doesnt corresspond the exact issue.

I did add the the Celerra IP in the DNS file and nslookup isssue is resolved bbut this issue is long lasting one
[root@mpbwnsg1 nasadmin]# date; nas_cel -exec id=3 "nas_fs -l"

nas_cel -update id=3 please run this command and try running your previous command and let me know.

Can you please let me know what is the nas version on both the Celerra?

Let me confirm I am not very sure of this command,
if I am not wrong you are trying to exec the command "nas_fs -list" on the Celerra with the id=3, am I correct?

This is the version on both the celerra's

Are you doing nslookup for the local host, i.e. local Celerra?
are you able to ping the DNS server, please make sure that everything is fine from the network side

I did run the command and ran the nas_cel -exec command but no luck the error keeps on coming back...

please check wether the interconnect is woking if its not the production box or nothing is running on that you can re-create the same and check.

Are the control station clocks in sync or within 5 minutes of each other?
