Celerra out of sync
Hello,
we have 3 Celerra's in our archive environment. The three Celerra's are using the same NTP Servers.
One of the Celerra's don't update his time correct with the NTP Server, After a while the time is slowly fall behind the other Celerra's (within a couple of weeks).
It looks like it isn't a firewall issue because i can ping from all of the three Celerra's to the same NTP Servers (Server_ping).
I have checked the status of the NTP:
server_date server_2 timesvc stats NTP
server_2 :
Time synchronization statistics since start:
hits= 1651, misses= 4, first poll hit= 2, miss= 0
Last offset: 0 secs, -92331 usecs
Current State: Running, connected, interval=60
Time sync hosts:
0 1 x.x.252.100
0 1 x.x.253.100
Firmware version on the 3 Celerra's: T5.6.45.5
Backend: CX3-40f
Regards,
Timo

I have also noticed that the Control station is out of sync.
How is this possible? I have configured the correct NTP Server on the Control Station and on the Datamover, and both aren't synchronizing with these particulary NTP Servers...
Many thanks!

Timo

Hi,
please, open a support ticket for that, since there might be needed to look at some log's.
But, anyway this is strange. This should be pretty straightforward.
Only one system is running out of sync ?
The only thing I can imagine is a network issue. Are these 3 Celerras on the same network ? Are they running the same NAS code version ?

Hi,
Are the Control station, DM interfaces and NTP server's in the same subnet?

Hello,
no, the Celerra's are on different locations (Cities). The IP subnets are different.
