Celerra replicator basic failover for vdm's and filesystems
I have a situation where I can failover my VDM with its associated filesystems to another site and access works perfectly.
If I just failover the filesystem to the other site, I dont have permissions to access the filesystem. even though it is W/R.
Is there any basic steps I can try to resolve. Do I need to have CIFS server come over with the filesystem to be able to access with permissions?
Can that filesystem on the dr site work with perms when the cifs server is on the source.
Thanks for any help or direction.

if you don't failover the CIFS server then I guess you are accessing the DR through a global CIFS server there
In that case you could get different permissions - for example if you are using localgroups in ACL that don't exist (or have different SIDs) there
server_cifssupport should be able to tell you where you have which effective perms and why
If you want a transparent failover then you need to failover both FS and VDM
