The simulator works well....there are some bugs, but for playing around and learning how the Celerra works, I would say it is perfect.
I have configured a CIFS server which replicates to another Celerra simulator and I have even done a failover - works fine.

did you start the CIFS service ?
This is done with command :

# server_setup server_2 -P cifs -o start

And, can be checked with command :

# server_cifs server_2
