Do you see any errors in the Celerra or Linux server logs? How did you come to conclude it's a file lock issue ?

Weblogic needs to create lock files.  When we ran diagnostic tools, we saw the hang at the point when wls was trying to create the lock files.  There is a function wls uses called trylock(), that is where it is hanging.  this function works if we run it on the same server on internal drives, but hangs if we run it on a mount-point to the NAS device.
