Files and folders stop visible withing iSCSI partition

Today in the morning I have alert about non folders within one of share on file server. I just logged on it by \\server_name\share_name$ and don`t see anything! Shoked!. Next time I logged on the target server where iSCSI partition connected and see that all files and folders on place. ooofff! )) But still not visible within share. Remove and back sharing on this folder correct situation and all files and folder are visible now and working ok. I don`t know the reason for this situation. Does anybody knows about this problem?

Scheme: Celera-iSCSI_partition-Windows 2003 server. Windows server share folder on this partition.

p.s. It is not first problem with iSCSI. 1 week ago, one folder on another iSCSI partion on this server stop sharing, I just back share and now it is ok. Also I dont know reason for that.

Summury, iSCSI unstable.

I would suggest make sure you are using the latest Microsoft ISCSI initiator version *and* that your timeouts are set high enough to survive a data mover reboot

look at the Celerra server_log if there was some problem during that timeframe - otherwise it looks like a Windows CIFS server problem if they cant handle a reconnect

Yes, maybe network issues. Server_2 has been restarted tomorrow evening and this problem was today morning. I will monitor it. Thanks a lot.

i've seen this where all shares disappear for that iSCSI LUN, in my case the LUN was getting disconnected and reconnected. This was on another vendor platform and turned out to be a network issue.
