Multiple iSCSI LUNs on the same file system
We do not do a lot of iSCSI configuration on our Celerra. Up to this point, we have done a single file system to a single iSCSI LUN.
Is there any issues or limitation with putting 2 - iSCSI LUNs on the same file system?
Any issue with increasing disk space on the iSCSI LUNS?
Ex...FS1 would hold iSCSILUN1 and iSCSILUN2
Thanks
Chris

there is no problem in creating multiple iSCSI LUNs within the same filesystem.
There are mainly two cautions.
Performance caveats :
All LUNs will share the same spindles. If they are heavily used, you might have performance issues.
Snaps :
If you have Snaps, you would need to plan carefully since the iSCSI snaps share the same filesystem as the PLU ( Production LUN ). See the whitepaper "Sizing Considerations for iSCSI Replication on EMC Celerra" on powerlink if this is the case.
