NFS mount problem in AIX..

Question

Hi,

I have created on Filesystem on CX-20 celera box and trying to integrate with AIX ... After exporting when i am trying mount on AIX server it is giving below error..

bash-3.2# mount 10.240.10.56:/archive_test /archive_test
mount: 1831-010 server 10.240.10.56 not responding: RPC: 1832-019 Program not registered
mount: retrying
10.240.10.56:/archive_test

Please suggest if i am missing any stepss..

Hi Amar,

welcome to the forum.

thats a very generic error message meaning that your client cannot talk to the NFS service on the Celerra.

from experience its usually one of the following reasons:

- wrong NFS server name or IP address

- NFS client not fully configured

- not network connectivity or firewall between client and Celerra

- Celerra data mover not running or network misconfigured

should be pretty easy to diagnose with ping, rpcinfo and showmount
