NS20 Control Station Shutdown/Power On

Due to Electric maintainance work I need to shutdown the Control Station alone without affecting the CIFS access. What is the procedure for graceful shutdown of the Control station?

I would use what the EMC Celerra Network Server System Operations manual says - i.e. /sbin/halt

Shutting down the Control Station will not cause any
problems to the end users who is accessing CIFS
shares right?

If you shut down just the CS, then your users will not be influenced.
But for this, do not use /nas/sbin/nas_halt, because this will shutdown the whole box.

use commands linux commands like shutdown -h or init 0 or the mentioned halt for just shutting down the CS only.
