NTP warnings daily since Dart code upgrade

Question

Is anyone else having these warnings or noticed these with the lastest Dart code 5.6.48 or even the previous one of 5.6.47? Slot 2: Only a single NTP server on the host machine [164.67.62.194] is accessible and responding out of all [2] of the NTP servers. Slot 2: The NTP servers are not accessible or responding to the time service from [Wed Jun 2 03:37:01 2010]. I have 2 NTP servers and I get the first warning about not being able to connect to one of the NTP servers about 10-12 times every day, now it not always the same NTP server sometimes it's the other one and there doesn't seem to be any pattern to it. Of course when I do a ping check both NTP server are responding and seems fine.  One NTP server is internal on our network and the other is external somewhere else. Sometimes I get the second message that it can not contact any of the NTP servers but again if I do a ping check they both are responding. I'm wondering if these are false positives warnings or if there is a bug in Dart code 5.6.47 and 5.6.48 as I never gotten these warnings before our Dart upgrade when we were still on 5.6.37. Hi, you can try restarting the NTP service on the data mover by the following command. server_date timesrvc stop ntp server_date timesrvc start ntp Sameer

Hi,

If you are running 5.6.47, this can be related to emc238623. The NTP sync failure was fixed on 5.6.48 and higher.

If you are running already 5.6.48, I suggest you to open a support ticket.

I tried your restarting NTP suggestion but it did not help. I'm still getting the same warnings at random times each day.

I don't think my problem is the same as emc238623 because the data mover is not out of sync it's just that the NTP service seems to be unable to contact one or the other NTP servers.

Hi,

Can you run the nas_checkup command and see if there are any warnings/errors reported from there also and compare the time and check if its matching the time with Celerra manager warnings/error time for NTP.
