Repeated errors in Celerra Manager on NX4

I have been seeing the below error repeating roughly every 15 minutes on multiple recent NX4 inplementations.

CLARiiON event number 0x743a Storage system management software can no longer manage Storage Processor (SP B), most likely because of a network connectivity issue. This does not affect server I/O to the storage system..

The wierd thing with this error is that there never appears to be an actual communication loss between the SP and the storage system. The storage, as well as the write cache, etc, if functioning correctly. I have checked communications between the Celerra and the Clariion. nas_checkup comes back clean.

EMC support has not been able to figure anything out.

Let me know if you have seen this message or have any ideas on a way to correct it.

Thanks,
Jim

I just talked today with our local EMC tech about it as he was doing the NAS code upgrade on our DR array to 5.6.42, and he mentioned it's just the agent on the SP that talks to the Control Station that seems to hang periodically. Since the code upgrade it's happening a lot less, but I think it's a bug they haven't squashed yet, and won't admit to. Luckily we've seen no interruption in storage or SP communication either. I would say do the code upgrade if you can. Note that the local techs seem to know much more about this than the phone-home Level 1 folks (as is usually the case).

I am experiencing the same problem with an NX4.

EMC techs have not been able to correct the issue for my company either, have you found a solution?

Please take a look at primus emc206873.
There is a description of a workaround for this issue or upgrade to 5.6.43.6 and above
