Unable to get disk list from celerra backend

anyone had any idea about this..

[nasadmin@xxxxx sbin]$ ./navicli -h spa getdisk -capacity -hs
Error returned from Agent
No such host 'spa'

I tried with IP and it worked..thanks for all.

have you looked at the /etc/hosts file to see if spa has an IP address defined for it, (assuming you have no DNS/entry for it already)?

Take a look at /etc/hosts and chack that there is an IP for "spa"

It could as well be "SPA" (capital letters) or another name

there is an entry on hosts file..I got a disk failed message..do you think if this is related to that..

No sounds doubtful to me -

If you run the command using the SPA's numeric ip address, do you get the same unknown host error?

can you go into navisphere/unisphere and just check your array's disks that way? I guess I don't fully understand your issue... Sorry!

Looks like your entry for SPA in /etc/hosts is wrong
