Not able to ping centera online cluster IPs
Hi,
I was just trying to execute the sample programs provided with centera SDK. But just noticed that none of the IP addresses listed as online centera cluster ips in this portal are pinging from my system. I was not behind a firewall. What could be the reason?

Please ignore this post, just now I have seen the information that centera clusters will not respond to "ping" command.

Ping responses (ICMP) is disabled by default for security reasons. ICMP responses can be enabled by request. Enabling ICMP does prevent a site from assigning duplicate IP's in the environment. When a customer tests network IP's and don't get a response it's thought that the IP is available. Contact your local site CE or contact EMC Support to request enabling ICMP.
