Hello,

I'm trying to run the above example, but an error is being thrown at Line 62 of RetrieveContent.vb

Dim clipRef As New FPClip(thePool, clipID, FPMisc.OPEN_ASTREE)

The detail in the error is:

fp_param_err "Wrong Parameter detected" Error Number -10006

The stack trace shows its pointing to line 820 in the FPAPi.cs file of the SDK source code.

The error trace shows

I haven't altered the example in anyway apart from specifying the PEA file for connection (Which has all of the correct privelages). The ClipID is valid as its from a file I uploaded to the very same server using the StoreContent example.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dan

    Hello,

    FYI I had the very same problem when running the .NET wrapper samples for Centera SDK but I found the trick.

    I could run the StoreContent sample without problem and return a clip ID in a new file. But using the clipID from the latter file to run the RetrieveContent sample, I always had the following error -same as posted previously within the attached PDF:

    error: -10006, error text: FP_PARAM_ERR, syserror: 0, message: Wrong parameter detected, trace: FPObjectGuid::SetID(51IQQFMCEOF9T4e56D714AJ8QQETG41625460760A6I1N7PHCHOHC1)

    I lost a couple of hours checking my stuff and retrying different conditions/combinations, until I noticed that the value stored in the output file of the StoreContent sample was different than the one from the command line output: in the file, a character was added at the begginning (it was 5, for both the files I used to test). As soon as I removed this additional character, the RetrieveContent sample started to work correctly.

    Within the StoreContent sample, when the clip ID is stored in the file, I changed the BinaryWriter with a StreamWriter and the contents of the file is correct now:

                    StreamWriter outFile = new StreamWriter(outFileName, false);
                    outFile.WriteLine(clipID);
                    outFile.Close();

    Hope this will help,

    Stephane
