When reading a file, via API, from a pool that has grants to other pools, how can I determine which pool the file actually came from?

There's piece of system metadata with the numeric pool ID available from the CDF.
Though I am wondering: why would you care? If you handed over a clip ID and got your data back, isn't that good enough? Just honestly curious about your use case.
