Adding more disks to AX110

I have a AX110 that needs more storage space. I still had a 7 slots available to we just decided to populate all the slots. I want to make another disk pool and then create a bigger virtual disk, move my data and share it again with the same share name.

In navisphere this looks pretty easy but do I have to do anything else. Do I have to touch powerpath at all? I am somewhat familiar with the administration of it, although I don't do it often. Can anyone provide any knowledge, and yes I obviously have a full backup of the data before I start.

It's my understanding the Powerpath software is only necessary if you want redundant paths to the device. I have an AX150 model and don't even use Powerpath software since I only have one connection to the box through a gigabit NIC and have never had a bottleneck issue regarding I/O. So my answer to your question would be simply configure it through Navisphere and only worry about Powerpath if you are currently taking advantage of it's capabilites.

It's all done through NAVI, you don't have to do nothing with PowerPath.
