AX 150i reinitialization doubts

Good evening to everyone,

i have a problem with a Clariion AX 150i, and i hope you could help me to solve it.

I need to give assistance on an old it infrastructure of a new customer but the company who own the Clariion AX 150i doesn't have any username/password to log-on and it doesn't have any configuration informations about the system.

So i have searched inside the emc support site and forums to get some informations to solve the problem and i have found a procedure to reinitialize the clariion ax 150i and regain control on it (https://powerlink.emc.com/nsepn/webapps/btg548664833igtcuup4826/public/ax150/en_US/faqs/FAQs/lost_password.htm), but i still have some doubts:

1. It's not clear to me if the system reinitialization process will also remove the iSCSI configuration or not

2. Do i need to register the system on the emc support site to download the cd (iso) used to do the initialization process?

3. Does the customer need to have an active support with emc to download software from the support site?

4. Is there any default username/password to logon to the clariion ax?

Re-initialize the system to clear both the IP address and the security settings. This will allow you to run the "Initialization Utility" to change these settings. Re-initialization on an AX-Series does not affect user data in any way.

Note: Pressing the reset button clears the password but not the IP address. It makes the IP address changeable (that is, if you press the button and do not make any changes, another user can still open Express with the old IP addresses). therefore wont change the ISCSI setting

You could use Solution:emc112056


Uninitialize the array. This resets security settings. Data will remain untouched and accessible.

To un-initialize an AX100/150 storage system:

Power-down the storage system by pressing the power button for one second.
After it powers off, wait for one minute.
Press and hold the power button until the green power LED has been ON for one second.
Rerun Navisphere Storage System Initialization Wizard and make appropriate security changes.

You could use any Navisphere Initialization Utility from any CLARiiON , dont need to register to AX-Series site, so you could download it from PowerLink (you need an account)

I will check with the customer in the following weeks to reset the system password.
