ax4-5f Replace failed disk

Hi there,

Disk 3 failed on our ax4-5f SAN.

We have replaced the disk but it is still reporting its 'Current State' as 'Removed' in Navisphere.

Over the weekend, we took the oportunity to power down the SAN completely (after reading that this might resolve our issue) but our issue still remains.

I have also read that because this disk is part of the Flare OS, it needs to be rebuilt using NST. Unfortunately, when I run the Disk Replacement wizard through NST it reports "Storage System model AX4-5 is not supported by this wizard".

What is the correct procedure for replacing one of these disks?
Is this just a disk failure or with the status being reported as removed (despite the new disk actually being present) indicate that there may be something more serious wrong?

I need to get the SAN back up to full capacity as quick as possible and would appreciate any assistance/pointers anybody could provide.

Is the part number of the disk that you used supported by the model of AX that you inserted it into? The document below lists all the compatible disks and flare versions - check your array flare against the replacement disk part part number.
