Basics - Performance measuring on a CX500

If you enable Statistic Logging (right click on the array icon and select Properties - on the General tab, in the middle of the screen, you should see a check box for Statistic Loggin - check that box).

Now when you look at the properties of different items, ie. SP or Disk or LUN, you will see a statistic tab - the numbers will update about once a minute - this will give you a basic look at the difference metrics that are used.

Then go to PowerLink and Look for a document called CARiiON Best Practices for FIber Channel Storage and Navisphere Analyzer User Guide - both will give you an overview of performance.
