Connecting EMC Clariion CX500 to ESXi Hosts
I am having some difficulty connecting 2 new ESXi 4.1 hosts to an older EMC Clariion CX500 storage over Fibrechannel. I have the fibre cards in the hosts, connected to the EMC, I have link lights on my fibre, i have manually registered the hosts in Navisphere. I have registered the host's intiators, but they are not "logged in". They also have an "F" icon beside them, not sure what that means.
I think I missing one critical step in the process, but I just cannot figure out what it is. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for any input!
Here is out EMC Clariion's info:

zoning has been completed and zoneset activated ? Can you right click on the array and select "faults" (or something of that nature), that F is not normal.

Thanks for your help dynamox. I see only 1 fault on the SP, a failed power supply.
The host itself does not seem to have any faults, even though it has the "F"

failed power supply should not prevent hosts from logging-in. Did you double check your zoning ? Do hosts and array ports login to the switch no problem ?

dynamox, thank you again for your help. I think you have confirmed that we have a switch-side zoning issue, i believe that the switch zoning needs to be re-configured.
