CX4 and VIRTUALIZATION

Hello, I havge received a brand new Clarion CX4-120 and I am investigating how to implement Virtualization and Clustering

As regards to HYPER-V, I have found several problems that I cannot understand:

If I set up a VM based On a Windows Server 2003 32 or 64bits  driven by a Windows 2008 entreprise server

I have several LUNs based on RAID 5 array based on 5 high speed disks, lets say LUN 1 and LUN 2

If I put the VM on LUN 1 , the I/O test  gives 10mn to backup the 4.4 Gbytes on the same LUN 1 (first partition = system, second partition= data or the content of the BKP)

If I put the VM on LUN 1 and I perform the I/O test on LUN 2 (which means that I have 2 axes), I got a penalty of 20% (12mn) to do the same.

Obviously I tried several type of I/O tests, and I tried othe LUNS but everytime I am working simultaneously with 2 or 3 LUNS i got a degration in thye results.

Instaed on the W2008 computer which is running The HYPER-V, The same VM i/o tests gives 14 mn if I am using the same RAID but 11mn if I am using two different arrays (less performant 4 disk raid 5 arrays) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Which means that using 1 axe gives 14mn but 2 axes (one for read the other for write)

Could you help to understand these results and Do you have any kind of guides to improve these performances
