Destroying Remote Mirrors

Question

Quick question just for peace of mind: I need to destroy a remote mirror. I am happy with the process of what to do but I just want to make sure when I destroy the remote mirror I won't destroy either the primary or secondary LUNs in the process. Once the remote mirror is destroyed will I destroy the primary or secondary LUNs in the process?

When you 'destroy' a mirror, you destroy the logical construct called 'mirror', you do not destroy the source LUN or the mirror LUN. Remember, that you can not use the mirror LUN for anything after the mirror is detroyed.regards,glen kelley

Ok, so the remote replica should be unbound then ? Too bad... this means you cannot use Mirrorview to copy data over to the other side and have a standalone copy over there after you brake up the mirror.
