Dial HOME Modem & CLARalert Software Installation

Question

Hi All,

As per Procedure Generator, I have installed modem successfully as well as CLARalert software. It dials out and receive as well. But the problem is when I go to monitor tabs its shows two host attached to the storage but the management workstation is not available there. As per documentation we have to configure Navisphere Event Monitor on Management Workstation to monitor the storage. But I cannot see management workstation in that host tab.

Please assist...

Hi,Have you installed Navisphere Agent on the Management Station? The workstation will not be listed in the Monitor tab unless you install the agent.Also, you may try configuring a portal for the management station - On the Navisphere Enterprise management window - go to -Tools -> Portal ConfigurationIt will open the Portal Configuration window - right click to add portal - select the management station name then ok. Once created - right click on the portal and select add storage system - and then add the CLARiiON which you want to manage.Please let me know, whether this helps.Thanks,Sandip

Hi Sandip,Navi agent was installed but the configuration you have mentioned was not done, so as per your advice I did same steps and it successfully done. Thanks again.
