Hosts show Operating System as Unknown in Navisphere
I have a Clariion CX3 and some of the hosts that are connected show the operating system as Unknown. These servers are all cluster servers just not all the same cluster. Some of my clusters show fine, some only have one server with the OS as unknown, and some have all of the servers listed as unknown.
The servers have been this way for a while I have just got around to looking into it.
I noticed that when I go to Connectivity Status > highlight the server in question and click the info button it shows the cluster private address?
How can I change this to see the public address?
Thanks,

The hosts showing Unkown might just need to have the Navisphere agent restarted on the host. Have you tried to perform a "update Host" on them?

See Primus emc66921
Navisphere Host Agent when first started will use the first bound NIC on the array. For Windows 2003, if you go to Network Properties/Advanced/Advanced Setting/ Bindings - you will see a list of your NIC's - Agent will use the first one on the list - this is suppose to the NIC you use for LAN traffic and the one you would want to use to communuicate with the array. This is the same for Linux - look in the etc/host file - the first entry is what Agent uses.
If you want you can use the "agentID.txt" file as described in the above Primus to force Agent to use the NIC that you want.
With Clusters you may face a more difficult situation - which IP address should you use if you have two servers in the cluster?
