How to create first working snapshot?

Hi I am new with Cx snapshots but familiar with navispere management and snapview principals and buzzwords. I have never created working snapshot. Please help and provide me with step by step working snapshot creating. Flare 19, cx500, hosts os Win, Solaris, Linux RH Regards Michael
