How to replace 2 failed SPS on a Clariion CX3-20

I am looking to see if someone can help in guiding me on how to replace/swap 2 failed standby power supply units on our Clariion CX3-20 system. I have 3 LUNS running on it and like to know if this units are hot swappable and not requiring to set the data offline. I currently only have a spare SPS onsite that i can swap. Any help will greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

You can follow a standard SPS Replacement Procedure to replace one SPS. However, I do not recommend any replacement before SP Collects Analysis. I am curious, 2 SPS Fails and how come you do not get notified upon 1st failure? Email Notifications are disabled or not configured? If so, I highly recommend that to configure the same.

I would request you to open a Service Ticket with EMC Technical Support for log analysis and get the action plan for replaceement. It is possible that may be SPS are not faulted or may be Sense Cable needs to be reseated or SPS itself needs to be reseated. (If not, tried already)

If you have not replaced the SPS yet, you will have to see what failure is there with these SPSs. If both the batteries are providing power to your power supplies, you can replace SPS one by one without downtime.

If only one is giving power, you may replace the other (which is completely down) and once the new SPS becomes fully charged, you can replace the second. Write cache gets automatically enabled once the system is healthy.

You will have to take ultimate care while replacement, to avoid unplanned downtime. If you can take a downtime for replacements I would suggest going for that.
