How to use navicli ?

Hello,

please don't hurt me, but i don't know how to access the navisphere CLI? Can i telnet to the SPs to issue commands or is this some kind of software i need to install somewhere?
Is it part of the controlstation, mean can i use it from there?

Oliver,

you install navi cli on the host that has network connectivity to SPA and or SPB. Take a look at Navicli admin guide on how to configure and use the cli.

just try if navicli is installed in you system. if you are using windows...go to command prompt and type navicli. if installed it will list all the possible switches you can use. else you need to install it. please follow previous posts to install navicli.

Sorry, i think i am too dump to find where to download the software. I only see "Navisphere Server Utilities", which, i belive, is not the CLI.

should be here (for windows)

Home > Support > Software Downloads and Licensing > Downloads C > CLARiiON Navisphere Host Based Agent/CLI Windows

if you don't see it, please contact PowerLink support at powerlink@emc.com. They will verify that you have a Clariion/Celerra under support contract and add Navi stuff to your portal profile.
