Japan implementation

Hi everybody,

I work in France, and I will be in charge of a new CX3-10c implementation in Tokyo.
This will be inside a complete VMware implementation with DS220B switches. I would like to know the differences that I will meet between european systems and those shipped to Japan. Flarcode is identical ? Is Navisphere installed by default in japanese ? Type of power plugs on SPE, etc. I will appreciate the useful details.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards.
Christophe

Q: Flarcode is identical ?
A: Yes, the FLARE operating environment loaded on the storage system is the same, independent of geography.

Q: Is Navisphere installed by default in japanese ?
A: The default language is still English; there are language packs available for Navisphere, including Japanese. Once language pack(s) are installed, go to the Navisphere "Tools" menu, and click "Select Language".

Q: Type of power plugs on SPE, etc.
A: This depends on if the plugs in question are the ones on each enclosure, or on the EMC 42U rack (cabinet). There are different plug types available for each, which can be specified at the time of ordering. Usually the individual enclosures (e.g. SPE and DAE) use C13/C14 plug & socket to connect into the power strips within an EMC 42U rack. If you will not be using an EMC 42U rack, select a plug type that is compatible with whatever rack the enclosures will be deployed in. An EMC 42U rack has two (or four) large power cords for connecting into data center power, which in the US and Japan typically use L6-30P (plug) for connecting into L6-30R (receptical) or L6-30C (in-line connector).
