minimum bandwidth demands

Does anyone know the minimum bandwidth limits for MV/S and MV/A ?
And SAN Copy ?
do the same minimums go for the iSCSI version of these ?

So:
MV/S over FC
MV/A over FC
SAN Copy over FC
MV/S over iSCSI
MV/A over iSCSI
SAN Copy over iSCSI

The only number I could find was the 128Kb minimum for MV/A over FC

RRR,

Couldn't find much either¿ Interestingly in the MV Knowledgebook the minimum bandwidth requirement is 128KB/s and not 128Kb/s as in the release notes for MV/A. Either way IMHO we can assume:

1. Same figure is applicable for ISC
2. Is independent of the medium (IP or FC)

MV/S I think is much more dependent on the latency then bandwidth. 10ms I believe is the limit before timeouts are experienced.
Having said that in CX FLARE 19 and CX3 FLARE 22 MV Knowledgebook there is a mention of low synchronization policy yielding approx 0.7MB/s per mirror and the MV release notes for FLARE 24 mentioning the same 128Kb/s for MV/S¿

I hope that helps¿.?

Thanks.
Somewhere in my long term memory ( :) ) was that ISDN dual line number of 128kb. But then again: whatever line you're getting, 128KB is available on everyline I suppose. If you're planning on running MV over ISDN, I'd contact EMC (to be sure) over the phone anyway.

Let's wait another few posts / days until I'll "close" this thread.
