Mirror image fault...

Hi,

I have the following faults on Clariion CX700,

" Mirror view fault status report:
Synchronous mirror image is fractured.
Synchronous mirror is faulted."

Please advise me on how to troubleshoot this issue...

Any advise would be of great help....

Thanks,

Hi Arun,

Can you provide some information about your setup; FLARE levels, CLARiiON model of the other array, LUNs participating in MV/S? Has anything changed with your zoning? Are the relevant SPs still registered and logged into each other in connectivity status?

Hi Calle,
Thanks for your reply.
I checked the SP events... It was an admin fracture..the fracture was done manually by another admin user..its a known issue...

The box is CX700.. Flare code revision is 2.19.100.5.034.
Another box in the same domain is now showing in transition...
Can you please tell me, how to check which is the partner box for this mirror view. and how to check the connectivity status and the progress of mirror view synchronization.

Hi Arun

Properties of the Remote Mirror in Navisphere Manager will give you the information you after including:

¿ Mirror data state (per Secondary LUN)
 In sync, consistent, out of sync, synchronizing
¿ Secondary LUN(s) and corresponding Secondary array (s)
¿ Sync progress for each Secondary LUN
 % complete
 Time remaining not accurate due to primary LUN I/O concurrent with sync I/O

Alternatively you can use Naviseccli:

naviseccli ¿address mirror [-sync|-async] command, where command could be

 info, Display storage system MirrorView-specific information
 list, Display information about existing mirrors
 listsyncprogress, List the progress of a synchronization

Finally if you upgrade to FLARE 24, needs to be carefully planned and managed though, you can benefit from the CLARiiON reports.

I hope this helps
Carl
