if you replace an HBA you will have to ensure the new hba is registered and in the associated storage group then you should either reboot server or rescan hardware (command varies depending platform), run a powermt check which checks each specified path and prompts you to remove from the PowerPath configuration any paths marked dead, then a powermt config to configure new paths to devices and powermt save to save configuration.

refer to navisphere admin guide, powerpath product guide and powerpath administration guide for specific platforms.

The other part of this is to ensure that your zoning on your switch reflects the new WWM of the new HBA. If it isn't, that will stop any registration.

Bit me more than once!

The storage array will NOT show up in powerpath until you have storeage presented to it.

Add a LUN to the host then it will show up.

Best way to scan for new devices on a windows box is to use diskpart from the command line then do a rescan.
