This is a CLI command. If you use the Secure CLI your credentials will be encrypted and passed in an SSL session. You can also use the Secure CLI security file to pass credentials. You can find more inforamtion on the various Navisphere CLI's in the Navisphere CLI Manual on Powerlink.

Are you talking about navicli/naviseccli ? because we have installed the cli on the management station and use the same to run spcollects.

I was refering to an exe file named "OffArray_spcollect.exe" which I have downloaded from powerlink to my personal computer. so I believe you can run spcollects using this tool and download this to you computer with out the help of navicli. (good part you dont need to copy the spcollects from the managment station to your computer)

till now I have nt tried using this exe. because its need the username and passwd so I was asking is it safe to use this tool. since I am giving the credentials on my personal computer not on the management computer which has cli installed.

This is what I found about it:

"This OffArray utility is designed to simplify the process of gathering SPCollects from the management station connected to your R13, R14, or R16 CLARiiON array. Please read the User guide for instructions to properly run SPCollects on your management station. It will require that NaviCLI be loaded."

We don't use that any more as spcollect is not built into navicli and naviseccli.

the username/password would be the username/password for a user on the array.
