Raid Group size ,000 size problem
Hi,
I have a Cx380 with 4 DAEs filled by various disks size and speed.
We add 2 news DAEs this week, without problem, and we create some RAID GROUPS ans LUNs.
The last week end we shutdown our array, and this monday, we started up it.
Today, i tried to create a LUN on theses DAE, but the RAID GROUP space is ,000 (0 bytes), for total, free and largest contiguous free space! And this on the 4 Raid groups on theses 2 DAE. Therefore, there is more of 800gb left on them....I cant bind lun of course.
Can you help me please?
During the startup something did wrong?
Thanks a lot

If it is a GUI problem you can restart the Navi Management Server on the SPs - This is non-disruptive. You won't be able to use navisphere on that SP for a few minutes, but your LUNs won't be affected.
https://SPipaddress/setup - There's a restart Navisphere option in there, do it on both SPs. Do Kenn's suggestion first though and if you see the values not matching between the CLI and the GUI, then do this.

It could be a GUI issue. what does it show when you run the CLI command "getrg" on those raid groups? Does it still show 0 space.
Have the lun's you created on those RG's been presented to a host yet? If not, you might be able to destroy them and the RG's and recreate them. I thought that i seen this in older array's in which you create a raidgroup but dont bind any lun's to it and it will read 0 for contiguos space and available since a lun hasnt been created yet. at that point the RG doesnt know what the space will be since it hasnt been assigned a raid type yet. Once you make the fist lun, it fills in those values. But you siad you already created lun's which i wierd

Thanks a lot for your help!
Luns in theses raid group are already presented to hosts and they have some file systems on them, i can't destroy them.
I restarted the management server, and Navisphere shown the correct values.
Best regards.
