Thin provisioning on CX3 series
Can you please clarify something for me, is it possible to create Thin Pools on CX3 series? I have been told it is only supported in Flare v28 +, which isnt supported on the CX3 series, but i have also been told there is a thin provisioning licence available for anything under Flare v28.

Thin provisioning is not supported on CX3 series, which only allows up to FLARE 26.
However...The closest thing to virtual provisioning would be using a Celerra (with CX3 backend) LUNs are grouped disk pools, which can be virtually provisioned for file systems and/or iSCSI LUNs.
Virtual provisioning is a hot selling point to upgrade those older CX3 arrays to CX4s.

If you do a data-in-place upgrade from a CX3 to a CX4 you will receive the Virtual Provisioning license for free.
