Dsk 0.0.2 is a Seconday boot Partition for SPA. SPA boots fine that would be from Primary Partition Dsk. 0.0.0
As far as SP B fault and SP B not booting, there could be n number of reasons. If any of the drives from SP B vault pack was faulted, catanzaro would have mentioned that.
Assuming both 0.0.1 and 0.0.3 is faulted or may be showing dead from SP B side, well then it is possible why SP B won't boot.If that not the case, it would need further investigation. But may be 0.0.2 is causing any issue and even after replacing that SP B is not up, thats another story!
Thats the place, where we check whats up with SP B as we are sure about SP A and its Vault Drive has no issue.
In this case, if the drive fault in slot 1 (drive2) is preventing SPB from booting, that seems to imply that the disk in slot 3 is also bad. SPB should boot if at least one of those two disks is working right? So technically, replacing the disk in slot 1 would repair the fault, but the OS will have to be rebuilt onto that disk and if slot 3 is also dead, there wouldn’t be another copy to rebuild from. There may be other recovery mechanisms in place but I’m not aware. Wouldn’t he have to use another utility of recovery mechanism to get SPB’s OS rebuilt after the drive replacement?
After reading your posts, I checked the other vault drives through Navisphere. They were all ok and no faults. It seems when I rack mounted the system after testing it, I plugged the data cable connecting the LCC to SPB into the outside of the two sockets when It should have been the inside. Now SPB works. I guess I t does matter which link plug you use. I feel very lucky I did not fry something.
I’m still waiting on delivery of a spare drive to replace vault drive #2. I don’t think that will be a problem.
Hi , I have a failed Vault drive 0 on an AX4-5F . Can i take a drive( identical part no) from another standby array and use it to replace this failed drive?

You can replace it with a regular emc 146gb (same drive mfg/part number) drive.
