Sometimes the CX will use GMT time, is it possible that is the time you are seeing in the event mail?

You got me thinking. Since EMC receives event notifications from around the globe, it would make sense that they are all standardized on a single (GMT) clock. However I as the customer here in my own time zone would like to see a time that more easily tells us exactly when the event occurred without having to do math on every email. As a way to alleviate any confusion, I will add “GMT” after the %T% in the notification template. However, it sure would be nice to have a variable like %T% echo the real local time.

Is the array sending the alert or is a Management Station running ConnectEMC sending the alert? Every EMC array uses internal GMT time. When you open Navisphere/Unisphere and you look at the time display (SPA Properties/General tab), the time will be displayed in your local time - if it does not display correctly, then someone has changed the time on the array. If your desktop is set to the correct time zone for you, then change the time in Navisphere to match your local time - that will adjust the internal time on the array, but the array is still in GMT time. Navisphere queries your desktop from where you're running Navisphere to get your local time zone. That's why when you look in the Event View, the events are in your local time.

The events that the array sends are in GMT. It may if you are using ConnectEMC that the time is off on that workstation.
