DELL SC5020:Path was closed for the server

Dear Support,

We have found below Fibre Channel alarms form EMC>stroage>server>Host A , also I checked current port list and not found the ports which are showed in alarms.

After checked our fibre switch(DELL DS6610B) and Host A have any issues found,I think these are flaut alarms and like to clean those all by reboot controller, so I would like to know:

1.The method about clean these alarm with low impact operation (we have public traffic on this stroage)

2.Help for us clarify are those flaut alarm.

Many thank!

Hardy Fong,

I would start with the kb article here, as it will help us isolate the issue and how to resolve it. I would also look into if the SC5020 is up to date on firmware.

Let me know what you see.

Dear support,

This method seem have huge difference with my EMC UI

  1. In Enterprise Manager, click the Storage view.
  2. In the Storage pane, select the Storage Center.
  3. Click the Hardware tab.

(Hardy:Storage function even have "Storage Center" and "Hardware tab"

So I select system>Hardware>controller name)

  1. In the Hardware tab navigation pane, expand Controllers→ controller name→ IO Ports

(Hardy:I only found IO Modules and check all modules was up, but I still confusing is it match your method)

  1. Note whether the ports are up or down.

Finally I had select"SYSTEM>Ports >select one of fibre channel in Front End Ports>found WWN down with the related server",I think this document have not matched my cases.

also I would arrange the checking at datacenter later and I'll update again.
