I currently have a problem with Enterprise Manager 2014 R2 :

We keep 1 year of historical data and the SqlServer database (SQLServer 2012 on W2008 R2) is raising a signitifcant size (45Go).

The size is not a problem in fact, but we note that sometimes, our Enterprise Manager server is running a purge process on the database (tones of deletes...). And this process takes about 2 hours and our server is almost frozen (database activity stresses disk activity a lot...).

Do you know is there are best practises to optimize database (Reorg, rebuild index ?) and do you know if there is a possiblity to schedule this purge process ?
