SCV2020 Reset
Hi,
I recently received a used SCV2020 and would like to factory reset it.
The Dell Storage Manager Client isn't able to automatically discover the controllers but I've figure out the IPs:
192.168.50.99 and 192.168.0.99
I've also made a serial cable and am able to communicate that way.
I've found general reset instructions but I'm concerned about the licenses.
Is there any instructions on how to reset the SCV2020 and retain licenses?
Any help is appreciated!

Hi,
everal users have asked if it’s possible to obtain the license file. The consensus is that there is no universal license file available; each license is tied to the chassis tag and serial number of the specific storage system. The original license file should have been retained by the previous owner. Unfortunately, since you cannot contact the original owner, this complicates retrieval.
Most license files are stored in Dell Digital Locker. However, if the system ownership has not been transferred to your account, the file will not appear in your locker.
If the devices are still operational, you can try accessing Dell Storage Manager (DSM) or Enterprise Manager Client. Navigate to:
System Manager → System → Licenses
and check if there’s an option to view or export the license keys.
