Brocade FOS monitoring configuration best practices

Hi folks.

Is there a best practise guide for Brocade Fabric OS monitoring?

I am setting up MAPS monitoring on Brocade DCX6 directors and looking to make sure I have covered all bases.

There is SANNAV Management Portal in the environment as well.

Hi,

For monitoring your switches and you have already SANnav in the environment, that would be the best option. You can start with enabling a moderate policy on the switches in MAPS, enable the several option for trap events, ie: email, raslog, snmp etc. Then also discover them in SANnav.

And once you are ok with the policy you can tweak, going aggressive or conservative, or even create your own.
