Changing Brocade DS200B switch

Hi,

I received a new Brocade DS200B to change a failed one,
the command "licenseshow" executed on the new switch
shows licenses, but I have been told that Brocade should
calculate new licenses from the WWN and serial number
of the failed switch; Is it necessary ? Can I use the actual
license while waiting for new ones ?

Thanks

Regards

Consty

I'd contact EMC to help you with this, since it's a swap of a defective device. Licenses should be transfered to the new switch, but I don't know how to do it.

Don't you have warrenty on the old switch ? So IMHO a CE should do the replacement.

Hi,
We have a warranty, I am on mission outsite since then,
I think the switch had been changed.
Thanks
