6 days late and counting...

Ordered a laptop on Dec 7th with estimated delivery on the 20th. No delivery on the 20th so on the 21st I began to contact Dell. The Packing slip on Dell's site says it shipped on the 15th.  So I started with the order support / status chat, basically told me to wait while they check with FedEx. I get an email the 22nd saying the issue was escalated to "Logistics team" the order was shipped from an Asia warehouse and they will contact me when they get an update(no updates as of the 26th). I have tried replying to that email with no response. I have also tried calling, both on the 22nd and today the 26th. Basically all they tell you is to wait 24-48 hours, while they are sorry and know it is not ideal they seem to have no idea when I will get my laptop. All I have really been told or figured out over the last 5-6 days is that they don't know when i will get the laptop. Is there another approach I should try?

Day 7

No followup(s) as of noon today. So i called Dell again, and they said i should hear something back by the end of the day today. Hopefully they have some sort of info other than telling me to wait again... Not sure what to expect... Not sure I have the inclination to keep this up... Though I have to wonder if cancelling and or returning may wind up being a similar scenario... Kinda sad

Seems very ironic that we received almost the exact same story. From the laptop being shipped on Dec 15th from an Asia warehouse, to having to check with logistics, to being shipped FedEx.  Every time told we would get an update via e-mail in 24 hours, every time having to call back after no update to get a different person to tell you that "their tool" shows it shipped from Asia, but could not provide a tracking number.  Told product ships FedEx overnight as standard and then sent UPS ground.  Even hung up on once when I wouldn't accept the same scripted answer again.
