Alienware monitor international warranty conditions

I currently have an alienware aw3821dw with 4 years left in warranty. As my country of residence has changed due to work, I've also changed my warranty to the new country. However, inquiring into Dell Technical Support, they have mentioned that I wouldn't be able to receive warranty if the whole unit was required to be changed even if the warranty and ownership transfer was made to the new country. That for monitors i would need to go back to the purchase country (and transfer the warranty again to the purchase country) to receive warranty. Could someone clarify what the actual terms and conditions are? Thanks in advance.

The terms are exactly as you've been told -- monitors are not repaired, they're replaced if they fail, and the warranty on a monitor is valid only in the country of purchase.  You may have changed your address of residence with Dell, but the warranty remains valid only in the country of purchase.
