Another New EX Dell Customer
I will preface my frustration with the fact that I have been a Dell customer for years, and have purchased numerous computers and televisions from Dell. This ends today.
I ordered a PS3 for a Christmas gift earlier this month and I never received it. Last week, I made 6 phone calls with no resolution. Dell blamed the problem on FedEx. FedEx said they never received the package. This morning I made 2 more calls to Dell. After many hours of getting the run around, I was informed today that while Dell shipped the product I didn't receive, they would provide me with another PS3, however, they didn't have any more, and would not be getting any more for a very long time. Dell graciouslyagreed to take the charge off my account (are you hearing my sarcasm here?.) I have never dealt with such poor service from any other company ever. Looking at these forums, I am seeing a lot of similar complaints about customer service. Dell, you better do something to retain your customers, or you won't have to worry about customer care anymore. I will be filing a complaint with an agency. At least I will have the opportunity to warn others before making my same mistake! If Dell had responded to my concerns last week, they may have been able to reship another PS3 console. Now, I will probably be unable to find another PS3 for my daughter this close to Christmas. Thank you for the great service!

Lori45601,
Looking at your activity, this looks like the only, (and first), post you've made on the forum.
It should show up here if you made it, I wonder what happened to it, as I would have been more than happy to help you get this straightened out?

This is my first post here. I dealt directly with Dell by phone and Live Chat all last week and today. Apparently this cannot be straightened out as they informed me this morning that they have no more PS3s in stock and would be out of stock for a long time. If I had known you could fix my problem in the forum, I would have come here rather than dealing with customer service directly. Unless Dell would find me a PS3 and before Christmas, there is no fix to this.

Dell had the merchandise when I ordered it. The first problem was they did not ship it. Secondly, they did not handle my problem when I contacted them. Rather, they kept passing the buck for a week. I should not have to go on a forum to have things corrected as I spoke to people several times. I came here to let someone know what terrible customer service Dell has and that you have lost a long time customer because of the way I was treated. I have heard too many sorrys and unfortunates from Dell staff. Unless Dell wants to somehow correct their mistake, its too late for sorrys and unfortunates. I will make sure I give my daughter a sorry and its unfortunate on Christmas morning. At any rate, I will take future business to other companies. Surely the service will be better.

Lori45601,
If they're out, they're out. That I can't fix but I would have found out sooner.
This is unfortunate and besides saying I'm sorry this happened, in this case that's all I can do.
