Appalling Service from Unisys
I've just read the post by Rosie Brooks. It echoes my own recent experience with Unisys engineers. I'm guessing that they are poorly paid and struggle to get through the work they're given.
In my own case, I had a working Dell XPS13. I've paid for support, so reported a slight problem in that I noticed the battery wasn't always being charged when it was plugged in.
The technician on the phone said that it would be best to replace the charging cable "and the motherboard". Stupidly, I agreed to this. On further reflection, I think a replacement charging cable might have done the trick.
After the replacement motherboard, I'm now having endless problems, starting with Bluetooth not working and then the CPU fan failed.
I asked if the replacement had been a new motherboard and was told it would be possible that it was "refurbished". My support service runs out in November. Will things be fixed by then?
I'll let you know.
