Aurora R8 Delays
Ordered my pc on June 1. Initially says ships in 15 business days, then the confirmation email says will ship by august 6. $3000 pc ordered and after a 9-10 week of waiting for my order, the pc will surely be worth much less. Spoke to customer reps on the online chat numerous times, they've expedited my order at least 3 times and apparently expedited shipping but I HIGHLY doubt that they did anything at all seeing as the "revised" shipping date has not changed from the original.
They offered me a credit amount in the form of a direct refund as compensation for the wait when I receive the order ( if I ever receive it) but by the looks of things, there are at least 10 other people with this problem JUST in this customer care forum on the first page. And with order dates a month before mine. Not to mention apparent 5 month waits on refunds from other orders from other customers.
I honestly regret making this purchase and NOT looking forward to the email I expect to receive in the coming weeks saying the order has been delayed some more, despite speaking to multiple reps and claiming to have an expedited manufacturing AND shipping request put on the order.
And they even have the cajonas to throw 3 different sales within the time of my order, when they cant even keep up with their current demand. Seems completely irresponsible of dell as a company. This company has changed from what it used to be. Horrible.
And they're building it in the states which that country cant seem to do anything right during this pandemic. No other company in canada has had problems with shipping delays like this. And I assume they will be shipping from USA so I expect it will be at LEAST an extra 30 days to get it across the border, which I live 15 minutes from.
Yay....... never ordering from dell again that's for certain. First and last time they make me look like a fool.

I have read more replies on similar problems, someone else ordered the same PC on the exact same day and received it already, before mine is even manufactured. Dell has me on my absolute last nerve now. Everybody told me I should have built my own as soon as I mentioned that I placed my order... Boy do I feel dumb.

Hi,
Sorry for not being able to respond to you in time. We're facing an unusual spike in volumes today, and we're only seeing your message now.
Could you provide the registered owner's name via direct message? I'll have it checked right away.

Yeah and I even asked to upgrade parts on my configuration in the meantime since there were manufacturing delays from part shortages... and I was told Im not allowed to change the order once it was placed. But another customer on here mentioned that he was allowed to change his order, but it would delay the wait time... So we know the reps are lying, but I already know that based on the exact same thing they all repeat to me when I am talking to them. Read from a script "I completely understand. As a consumer myself, I would feel the exact same way in your situation" ..... I don't think they really understand though. When I order a top tier PC I expect it to still be top tier when I receive it..

Today I have checked the status of my order and it has been shipped out via Purolator (a Canadian courier, Canada Post's courier for larger packages) and I am supposed receive it in 3-5 business days. Hooray ! I'll let you guys know if everything came as per my order configuration specified, and if it works properly.
