Cannot change account email address

I'm getting the same thing.  But different error.  I can login to my account, goto change the email address where I have to also put in the password that I just logged in with.  But it keeps telling me that password does not match their records.  I just entered it!  They even had me go through the whole "forgot my password" but that didn't help.  How about an option "Dell messed up"?  After about 8 different "customer support" calls and transferring around I give up.  My email will change and I will no longer get anything from Dell. Maybe that's a good thing.
