Can't track order with Syncreon
I'm getting the "order number does not match customer number" error on the Syncreon tracking website that seems to be a problem for many UK people looking at previous posts on this forum.
Seems like this is a problem going back to 2013!
Dell is clearly in no rush to use a better logistics provider so how is it possible to track the order?

Have exactly the same issue, also having ordered from Dell UK, and past posts here it seems this is a long standing problem: the integration with the Syncreon tracker just doesn't work. Perhaps there's some way to manually edit the order numbers from Dell to ones that Syncreon's tracker can understand? In the meantime, my order has every appearance of having blackholed between Dell and Syncreon.

I was so annoyed with Dell being unable to help, I emailed the CEO of Syncreon.
Someone from Syncreon emailed back and told me to remove the last digit from my customer number.
Apparently they are aware of the problem, are working with Dell to fix it. I pointed out that there are posts going back a decade about the issue, but they didn't respond directly to that.
If a Dell rep tells you that the Syncreon site is "down at the moment", it's not, it's likely this issue.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear this.
Could you provide the order # and the registered owner's name along with a brief description of the issue you are facing with the order via direct message, and I'll have it checked?

I have the exact same issue. I tried removing the last digit but it didn't work. I'm also quite perplexed because my order details show that I my shipping date was the day before I even placed the order. I'm struggling to trust much of anything on Dell's website after they had to cancel my original order after 4 days as they realised they had oversold the model...

I have the same problem. I have found that if I input the Dell nine digit order number first then when the second box appears type in the Dell customer number including GB at the beginning then it works and you can see the tracking status. However, I agree with other responses that there are delays without any explanation and that it is impossible to contact syncreon. If you knew that someone would contact you by mobile text message when delivery is due with an option to reply then it may avoid all the wasted days waiting in. I am still waiting for my delivery to arrive.

I joined the Dell forums just to post this.
I vaguely remembered having this problem over 10 years ago when I was waiting for a Dell UK outlet delivery. I've just placed an order and was staggered to find exactly the same issue with the tracking link!
The problem is in how the customer number converts from Dell's format to the Syncreon system's format, so you just need to know how to convert one into the other. On my Dell order. That number is fine as it is, you don't need to change it. From my Dell order confirmation, I have a customer number. When you click on the tracking link from Dell that takes you to Syncreon, that order number seems to covert in the Syncreon web address So it looks like the GB part at the start of the Dell customer number gets converted to 19, and then the rest of the number stays the same. The issue is that the Syncreon system needs not only the GB of the Dell customer number to be replaced with 19, but it also needs the final digit of the Dell customer number to be removed, so the example customer number in the format that Syncreon needs.
So with that correction, there are then two ways to get the tracking link to work - firstly, after clicking the Dell link that takes you to Syncreon tracking you can change this in the website link in the address bar (in the part where it ends ?, removing the final digit in the customer number) - or secondly by just using the Syncreon tracking page where you type in your order number and customer number, making sure that you use the correctly 'converted' customer number, with the 19 replacing the GB of the Dell customer number and the final digit removed.
Hopefully this will help someone else, or maybe even myself in another 10 years' time when I'm searching for the same solution after having placed another Dell order...
