Customer Care Scheme?
I Called multiple times to the technical support, just got automated responses that didn’t help. Finally connected to the sales team who transferred me to customer care, believe the woman’s name was “obia” no idea how to spell it though. Talked to her for awhile and she pretty much told me she can’t help me because my service tag doesn’t match my name since I didn’t buy the computer through Dell but through my college. I argued with her over the phone for about 20 minutes (call started at 10:36) and she refused to transfer me to a supervisor or anyone else. She then gave me a number to call 1-866-223-5417, a guy picked up saying he was Dell, he asked for my zipcode and told me he was going to mail me a $100 gift card. I found this weird as I hadn’t given him my address, he said all he need was “my 16 digits of card” to send it to me to which I said no as it was obviously some sort of scheme/scam call. I find it extremely fishy and weird that a Dell employee gave me a fake scam number to call. This needs to be looked into immediately and taken very seriously, please review my call that was “recorded and monitored” and look into this. Let me know if anyone else has experienced similiar, worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life.
